# CloakMind

CloakMind is a portable study device for working through printed exercises: past papers,
problem sets and textbook questions. It is a small camera and a touch screen, not a phone
app and not a browser extension.

## How it actually works

You photograph one printed exercise with the built-in camera. The device uploads that photo
over Wi-Fi to the CloakMind backend, which transcribes the page and writes a step-by-step
explanation. You read the transcription on the screen and check it against the paper in
front of you before trusting anything, then read the worked explanation on the device
itself. One full pass takes about 30 seconds.

## What it is not

The model runs in the cloud, on servers, and not on the hardware. A Wi-Fi connection is
therefore required, there is no offline mode, and an answer is never immediate. The device
captures, uploads and displays; the reasoning happens elsewhere.

## Status

CloakMind is in prelaunch. No unit has shipped and the waitlist is the only way in. The
planned founder price is 99,90 € against a planned retail price of 119,90 €.
Both are current plans rather than a binding offer.
